THE LOTUS & IVY Mission

At Lotus & Ivy, we provide an educational experience that is developmentally appropriate, experiential, academically rigorous, and nourishing for the whole child, “head, heart, and hands.”

One of our guiding quotes is from Rudolf Steiner when he said, “Our highest endeavor must be to develop free human beings who are able of themselves to impart purpose and direction to their lives. The need for imagination, a sense of truth, and a feeling of responsibility—these three forces are the very nerve of education.”

Live virtual lessons are the cornerstone of our program. We believe there is unending value in meeting the teacher and classmates live each day. Students form a special connection with their teacher who gets to know them well and can provide for their individual needs. Students may ask questions in real time and true friendships are made in class. The science is clear on passive learning and we listen.
